YouTube Updated

We’ve been working on updating our YouTube channel ( RV4X40 YouTube). There are a couple of videos from last year, but there hasn’t been much time to work on the channel recently, so that has been bumped up on the priority list as we get ready to do some more traveling. Since last November, we have not been on the road very much. We spent November through January trying out work camping. That was interesting, and we plan on doing a post on that later about what worked and what didn’t work, so watch for that.

After that, we spent February in an RV park in Texas, recovering from the work camping, spending time with family, and doing some work on the RV. After that, we came to Indianapolis, our second home now, to help our youngest daughter with the birth of her second child, and our fifth grandchild. We didn’t realize it when we came north, but winter was going to hang on “forever” this year. We had four snowstorms in the first four weeks, one of them dropped 8-9 inches of snow. We are definitely NOT used to that, and the two dogs have never seen more than a few flurries so they had to adjust to walking in snow up to their bellies.

We’ve been busy and some of our planned channel work hasn’t been on the priority list high enough to actually get done. We’ve reached the point where there is now some time to get back to creating new YouTube content, and we have a backlog of things that we want to document and get out there. So the channel has received some attention for the last couple of weeks, and the content is starting to flow.

The first thing is the channel “trailer” itself. I have no idea why it is called a “trailer” since it is the first thing a new visitor to the channel is likely to see, and it is very short, two minutes or so, but that is what it is called. If you want to check it out, here is the link:

The first new video is an overview of our trip to Alaska in 2017. We picked some of the best and most representative photos from the Alaska part of the trip and put them into video form. It’s a bit longer than perhaps I would like, but I trimmed it twice from the first selection I made to get it paired down to this length. Feel free to skip our of it if it gets too long to watch!
