2006 Tiffin Open Road
This is our third RV vehicle over the years. Some tmie ago, we had a 34 ft. Georgie Boy. It was pretty basic, with no slides, on a Ford chassis with the old 460 cu. in. gasoline engine. The next one (a long time later) was a 28 ft. Travel Trailer with a single slide. That didn’t last too long, because we liked the convenience of the motor home better (and the old Dodge pickup strained to pull it in the Texas heat).
So we bought this 2006 Allegro 32 BA model motor home. Much bigger (effectively) since it has two slides. Still build on a Ford chassis with the Triton V10 engine. You can research this on line (the Tiffin Motorhome Site has historical documents available). I really like this one, and Tiffin is super to work with on answering questions and giving advice.
I needed it because we found out after having it a while that the toilet leaked. That is a bad deal with a motor home since they do not handle water in the flooring well. The basic floor is oriented strand board (what I call chip board) which is highly and badly affected by water. Not Tiffin’s fault, but it took a while to realize what it was. Major job to rip out rotted flooring but eventually it all went back together nicely (with outdoor plywood) and you can’t tell.
