RV Upgrade

We have planned all along to upgrade our RV as the time to go full time got closer.  I’ve developed a habit of watching RV Trader for what seem to be really good deals.  So far, I’ve looked at three.  The first two were “too good to be true” – great price, great descriptions, even great pictures.  But the pictures don’t show the little details about how really crummy it looks in real life.

BUT, on the thrid one I went to look at, I found that it was in pristine condition inside and was from a private owner. He showed me all around the coach and pointed out several minor things that would need attention.  And the price was really good for the year and mileage. So we took the plunge and bought our second RV.  Mostly because we still have a use for the first one for a few weeks due to a peculiar family situation and there are those minor things to get fixed.  It will be harder to do that once we are in it full time.

I picked it up today about 160 miles away and drove it home.  It is a 40 ft. Diesel “pusher” with air suspension.  Handles the Interstate like a dream and is actually a lot easier on the highway than our 32 foot “gasser”. City driving was a bit more nerve racking, but nothing that is really too bothersome.  Just need to get used to the extra length and the swing on the rear end.  Oh, and the bigger inside track of the rear wheels on a turn.

Got home safe and sound and it’s now parked, ready to be loaded and used.
