One more step
It’s been a while since I posted, but things have been moving rapidly at a snail’s pace, if you know what I mean.
Seems that we are busier than ever but not much is really getting done. I guess that’s par for most courses. The house hasn’t sold in what everyone tells me is a super hot market. The may resale housing numbers were the best in several years, but ours isn’t one of those hot properties at the moment. Texas has had unusually wet weather after several years of severe drought. May was the wettest May on record, and June is at number 14 with 8 more days to go and rain in the forecast. At least the lakes are getting full and the boaters are happy with that. It has slowed down the number of people looking, and while we’ve had some interest, the right buyer just hasn’t come along to take it off our hands. Talking to our broker, she wants to wait until after July 4 to look at dropping the price. Both of us are just wanting to be rid of it so we can move on and be done with looking at it. We also need to settle into the RV only situation.
I’ve been working on getting the older RV onto RV Trader so I can move it. Not much to do to get it ready to sell. We’ve had a weird water leak that the factory tells me can’t happen, but identied the issue as a problem if the fresh water tank is over filled. A better overflow system would have prevented that but it is what it is. I might look at reconfiguring the overflow to prevent it from happening again. Not sure about the need for that.
Soon the need for my wife to be full time with a family member will come to an end, and at least she’ll be back home. I didn’t realize how much difference it makes in getting little things done when both of us are available. Taking care of the dogs while working has meant a lot of miles and time running back and forth to make sure they are taken care of. But it was something that she needed to do and I’m glad we could help out the way we (she) did. Still, I’ll be happy when she is back and we are both in the same place all the time.
